We learned as much from each other as we do from the syllabus

My classmates were diverse, accomplished and dynamic. I couldn't believe how so many high-caliber individuals came together in one place. In particular, the breadth of the professional backgrounds of my classmates made for a much more dynamic learning environment. Their contributions to classroom discussions enriched the lectures; we learned as much from each other as we did from the planned syllabus.”

I enjoyed the opportunities we had to get together outside of class and the Program Office really helped with that. Just one example from one fall was that we ended Saturday classes early one day for a tailgate party and football game. That was when you get to further build your friendships.

The Defining Leadership Principles served to keep everyone’s expectations aligned regarding how we interacted with each other and what we were here to accomplish. It was truly a collaborative environment, where people contributed in the spirit of learning, not just to score points.

The core curriculum gave you a great foundation

Being a part-time student with a full-time job required you to distinguish between what was really important and what was moderately important.”

The first-year core curriculum was particularly well structured. It gave you a great foundation. The cohort system helped you get to know a smaller group of classmates in a very manageable environment.
