Marjorie DeGraca

Executive Director of Admissions

Why Admissions?  When I took the Myers-Briggs assessment in business school, it said one of my perfect fit jobs was higher education. I laughed it off as my goal at that time was brand
management. Little did I know that I’d spend the majority of my career in higher education, particularly admissions, and that I’d love it. One of my favorite parts of admissions is getting to know the students – they are such interesting, diverse, and motivated individuals – and watching their tight-knit community form. I feel so lucky to be a small part of their journey. And, as a former brand manager, I’ve found that it’s always much easier to sell/represent a product you really believe in.

Rahul Sampat

Director of Admissions

Why Admissions?  In my prior life, I worked in finance and marketing mostly in the online and the early SEO space. My clients included Adidas, Eddie Bauer, Northern Tool and various regional news outlets. Since transitioning to higher education, I've worked primarily in graduate admissions at a variety of public and private institutions, including Columbia, CUNY, and the University of Maryland. I find admissions to be a dynamic landscape and I'm constantly in awe at our high-achieving students and learning what inspires and motivates them to pursue an MBA. My favorite moment, by far, is seeing someone transition from a prospective student at an info session to a Haasie at Orientation!

Eileen Jacob

Associate Director of Admissions

Why Admissions?  I’ve worked in higher education in both undergraduate and graduate admissions, and have been fortunate to form lasting partnerships with our students, faculty, and staff in enrolling amazing classes each year. The collaboration across the campus community in building such a dynamic student body at Haas has been incredibly rewarding. I love helping students navigate the waters of the application process toward finding the right fit for them, and learning more about their backgrounds and career goals is inspiring, to say the least! Working in admissions gives me the chance to meet a huge variety of talented individuals from diverse industries and perspectives, who often end up showing me different ways of looking at the world around us.

Yasmin Kovacic

Associate Director of Admissions

Why Admissions?  Drawn by the mission and greater purpose of universities, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various aspects of higher education. For me, admissions is the most exciting part of the student lifecycle. I enjoy connecting with prospective students, educating them about our programs, guiding them through our application process, and ultimately enrolling a dynamic group of students. Guided by the Defining Leadership Principles, Berkeley Haas is a particularly special place to do this work. I am proud to recruit talented individuals who ultimately become lifelong members of this community.

Jenny Clare

Associate Director of Admissions

Why Admissions?  Graduate admissions is a second career for me. I worked for many years in brand management at General Mills after earning my MBA, then worked as a part-time marketing consultant while my kids were young. Through each stage, my degree has opened doors and enabled me to pave my own path. I switched to MBA admissions because I wanted to work with others navigating their MBA journey and help them realize how a Haas MBA will have a lifelong impact. It is so rewarding getting to know the talented professionals that apply to Haas and having a small role in helping them pursue their goals.
