Commuting
The Berkeley Haas campus is remarkably well situated. We go the extra mile to make commuting easier, and many students find their own ways of putting community into commuting.
Commuting Within the Bay Area
Public transit options include: BART trains and AC Transit buses. From their stops in downtown Berkeley, it’s an easy shuttle ride or walk to the Haas campus. Parking also is available for students who drive—or ride their bikes—to class.
Commuting from Outside the Bay Area
Our weekend schedule and convenient location ease the commute for students who live outside the Bay Area.
The closest airport, Oakland International, is less than 30 minutes from the Berkeley campus. San Francisco and San Jose airports are farther, but may be convenient if you combine business travel with your weekend studies.
Students typically fly in Friday evening and depart Saturday evening and often coordinate their schedules to share shuttles to or from the airport. Sometimes they even take the same flights, using the extra time to get to know each other, continue classroom discussions, get started on assignments, or simply take a nap.
The shuttle bus felt like an extension of the classroom. We continued discussions or would get a start on assignments.
