Evening & Weekend MBA Program

Haas Faculty

Teachers, Explorers, and Discovers

Haas School faculty members seek new ideas and insight at the frontiers of knowledge. They are internationally recognized leaders in the study of the economic, social, political, and technological forces shaping global markets today. They play an active role in the national and international business communities, serving as consultants, board members, and speakers at major business conferences and seminars. They are in demand for key government positions, and they perform important interdisciplinary research with colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley and at other top universities around the world.

Faculty regularly incorporate their findings into new course offerings and reassess the curriculum to ensure its relevance to current management issues. You benefit by being among the first to learn of faculty discoveries in their courses, and to study first-hand with the inventors of new theories and principles. In addition to the regular faculty in residence, the Haas School hosts approximately 50 visiting faculty members each year and also leverages the talent and experience of some 30 practicing professionals by bringing them to campus as adjunct professors and lecturers.

Evening & Weekend MBA Program faculty members include: Professor Laura Tyson, former chief economic advisor to President Clinton; Associate Professor Florian Zettelmeyer, a pioneer in exploring the impact of Internet technology and increased consumer data on corporate marketing; and Assistant Professor Kellie McElhaney, a renowned educator in the area of corporate social responsibility.

"Because Evening & Weekend MBA students are constantly engaged in applying classroom material to their own workplaces, they have a great sense for what is important and what is secondary, and they ask really good questions: 'How can I use this idea? What is it good for?' This makes for a stimulating classroom and, for me, an ideal environment in which to teach."
