Electives
A World of Possibilities
After core course requirements are fulfilled, you will take electives that equip you with more in-depth understanding of a broad range of functional areas. At Haas, innovative theory and real-world experience combine to provide elective courses that reflect the newest ideas, trends, and thinking in business. In class, for example, students have met challenges such as creating Intel's site selection strategy for expansion into China, as part of the International Business elective.
In addition to deepening your knowledge in traditional fields such as accounting, finance, and marketing, electives keep you current in such popular subjects as entrepreneurship, real estate, the management of technology, and biotech.
You select electives through a bidding process, with the best chance of being enrolled in those courses offered within your chosen schedule option: evening or weekend. You may also bid on electives in the other schedule option. Student input contributes to the development and scheduling of these classes.
