Sixteen students from the Executive MBA and Evening & Weekend MBA programs headed far outside the classroom—to an equestrian center—to apply personal leadership challenges to on-the-ground work with horses. (Fall 2014)

From Strategic Pricing to SunPower Promotion
Iris Korovesi didn't necessarily expect a return on investment so early in her MBA studies. But in her microeconomics course she learned the true potential of the price tag, and she credits that knowledge with helping her quickly advance at SunPower. (Fall 2014)

A Walmart to Google Career Change
Trading Furbies for Fruit Ninjas, Amy Thompson moved from a role as senior toy buyer with Walmart to manager at Google—during her first year in the Evening & Weekend Berkeley MBA Program. She now manages retail partnerships for Google Play, an Android platform for apps and digital media. (Summer 2014)

Evening & Weekend Students Co-Innovate with Top Firms
At a mid-program retreat, second-year students in the Evening & Weekend Berkeley MBA Program worked with innovation leaders from seven top companies to create co-innovation partnerships that position the firms on the cusp of what’s next in their industries. (1/18/14)

Career Changes: From Grant Applications to Music Apps
Stephanie Lai, MBA 14, decided to make a career change after spending five years in philanthropy. She's now a marketing specialist at Smule, creator of social music-making apps such as Magic Piano, Glee, I Am T-Pain, and Ocarina. "As an avid cellist, I've longed for people to experience the joy of making music. With our apps, you don't need an instrument or musical talent--all you need is your mobile device." (02/20/13)

 

Kellogg Biotech & Healthcare Case Competition Berkeley MBA First Place Team

Berkeley MBA Teams Take 1st, 3rd in Biotech Competition

Students Impress at 2012 Adobe Digital Analytics Competition
Three students in the Evening & Weekend Berkeley MBA Program took home the second-place prize in Adobe's competition after emerging from an original field of 160+ to compete in the finals. (11/20/12)

Student Team Wins NAAMBA Global Case Competition
Evening & Weekend Berkeley MBA Program students offered the winning solution to the challenge, "How can Social Media be used to empower marginalized communities?" Their concept, Project Telos, uses technology to remove barriers to access to social media for refugees and immigrants. (10/04/12)

 

Lake Tahoe Tough Mudder Participants

Nine Classmates Conquer Lake Tahoe Tough Mudder
Helping each other through as a team, the students all finished the 11-mile obstacle course, which included crawling through mud with live wires hanging above and submerging themselves in a pool of ice water. (09/27/12)

 

UC Berkeley Digital Health Hackathon Winning Team

Students Collaborate with Berkeley Colleagues to Win Health Hackathon
Three Evening & Weekend Berkeley MBA Program students teamed up with two software programmers, a public health professor, and a mechanical engineering student to win the 24-hour competition, which challenged students to "build apps that change lives."(09/27/12)
