Arthi Vijayaraghavan got an early look at the Berkeley-Haas experience when her husband enrolled in the Evening & Weekend MBA Program. He raved about the program so much that she sat in on a couple of seminars to see what the excitement was all about. As soon as he finished, she enrolled. "We would have gone crazy if we were both students at once," she said.

"I love the student community here. I have met people who have jobs and skills that I never even knew existed. And the spirit is so open and collaborative. In our group work, for example, if we know someone is under pressure at work, we rally around and support him or her. The next time, it might be me who needs that support."

"I am glad that subjects like Accounting and Finance are in the core curriculum. I might not have chosen them as electives. That would have been my loss because I really enjoyed both classes and have found them useful. Now, when I see EBITDA on a report from the Finance Department, I know what it is and can ask intelligent questions."

"While the dollar value of an MBA can be measured, the knowledge benefit is so much greater. It changes the way you work and think."

"I used to work mostly with the sales team. Now that I am in a new role in a new organization at McKesson, I'm working more with colleagues with other areas of expertise. What I have learned in classes like Finance, and Accounting has been immediately useful on the job."
