Where Entrepreneurship is a Team Sport
As an ever-changing business climate reveals new opportunities for savvy entrepreneurs, the Evening & Weekend MBA Program offers you the skills and knowledge to launch your own high-potential enterprises.
Haas was one of the first business schools in the nation to offer courses in entrepreneurship and business creation. Among the faculty are real-world authorities such as lecturer David Charron, a serial entrepreneur and founder of several companies, including publicly-traded Scientific Learning Corporation.
The locus of entrepreneurial activities at the Haas School is the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Among the center's activities are two nationally prominent business plan competitions, both founded by Berkeley MBA students: The UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition, which is among the top university competitions in the nation for quantity of prize money and participation by Silicon Valley venture capitalists; and the Global Social Venture Competition for aspiring entrepreneurs who offer solutions to social and environmental problems while demonstrating a healthy business model. The center also offers the Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum, an evening lecture series with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.
